Our best short films go to Berlin in June. Since we have come to like crossing boundaries, whether in the realm of arts or in reality, on June 12, we will screen our films in the Czech Centre from which you could see the most symbolical boundary between two worlds, the Berlin Wall, in the past. If you like not only film but also architecture designed by the Machonins, you definitely shouldn’t miss this special screening.
The Czech Centre in Berlin (just like Prague’s Světozor Cinema) has organized documentary Mondays which introduce remarkable Central European documentaries and their makers to Berlin’s public for many years. The last screening before the summer holiday will be dedicated to the best short films from Czech cities made within My Street Films. Whether you call Berlin your home or just go there on a prolonged weekend, don’t skip a visit to the brutalist building of the Czech Centre which regularly hosts exhibitions and concerts besides film screenings.
And since you never say no to an invitation to Berlin (ja, natürlich), our team, too, goes to the German capital to introduce My Street Films to everyone looking for their way to film. Plus, if you like reportage photos from a city where nobody can feel too weird, don’t forget to follow us on Instagram.
